Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is fun, easy to use and very forgiving.  The colour range is extensive and beautiful and you can paint almost anything.  The best thing is that there is no need to sand or undercoat, just go straight on and if you make a mistake you can just paint over it.  Two coats is usually sufficient and then use the Annie Sloan Wax to seal the painted piece and also to bring out the full colour.  For wet areas or outdoor use you can finish off with matt or gloss lacquer.
